The Comic Book: one artist's journey

For years I've been asked by clients if I loved comics. I actually have a few comic books, maybe 4, but I rarely look at them. It's not that I don't admire those who create comics, I do, but I've never really set about making one. So after 30 years of storytelling through storyboards and film, I'm going to give it a go. This blog is to catalog my progression through the journey. I may hate myself for trying it but I'm still going to try.

The story I've chosen to create is called, The Miraculously Astounding Barnstorm Billy. I know it's a silly tittle, but it will make more sense as you see the story unfold. First I wanted to also create a Facebook page so my friends there could follow my efforts as well. So I created the Facebook banner art for that page, which was the first image that was created. Since the script was written as a film many years ago by my then writing partner, Michael King Jr., which is amazing by the way, I've simply have to adapt it to a comic format. Much easier than starting from scratch.
